Tahiti Wedding Planning - Tahiti Wedding Ceremonies
If you are planning a Tahiti wedding, there are a few things you need to know. First and foremost it is not a legally, binding marriage. Our best recommendation would be to have a civil ceremony in the United States and “renew” your vows with a traditional Tahitian wedding ceremony.

If you are adamant about legally tying the knot with a Tahiti wedding, you or your future spouse must prove residency in French Polynesia for at least one month prior to the wedding date. This will entail obtaining a visa for a longer than thirty day stay.

All of our clients have enjoyed their special Tahiti wedding day on Moorea at the Tiki Village. The Tiki Village is known to provide a truly authentic Polynesian wedding ceremony without all the legalities. The non-binding Tahiti wedding ceremony takes place on sacred grounds overlooking a beautiful lagoon. Please visit their website for more information

Once the couple arrives at the Tiki Village, the bride to be is taken to a traditional Tahitian bamboo hut. The women of the village then prepare her for the Tahitian wedding ceremony by massaging her with Tahitian Monoi oils and dress her in authentic Tahitian clothing.

The Tahiti wedding groom to be is taken by canoe to a nearby beach where he is tattooed (in felt tip pen) and then dressed as a High Chief. He is then returned to the village where his bride welcomes him. The couple is then decorated with an abundance of gorgeous flower leis.

The couple can be married in traditional wedding attire if they choose.

The Tahiti wedding ceremony is conducted in the Tahitian Language and there is an interpreter on hand to provide translation to guests. During the Tahitian wedding ceremony, the women of the village sing beautiful melodic tunes for the audience.

Once the Tahiti wedding ceremony is completed, champagne is served to the guests and the villagers entertain everyone with a wonderful dance show.

When the couple leaves the Tiki Village, they embark on the Royal Canoe which takes them to the Royal Floating Fare. Here, they can view a magnificent Tahitian sunset and celebrate a new beginning!

Prices for this event vary depending on which Tahitian wedding package is selected. Approximate rates range from $1100.00 to $2000.00 excluding video footage. Each Tahitian wedding package includes the following:
