The majestic island of Moorea is only 12 miles across the Sea of Moons from its sister island of Tahiti and is only a few minutes away by air or sea. With only 12,000 inhabitants, the pace of life is much slower here than on Tahiti and is everyone's dream of rural paradise.

The name Moorea translated means Yellow Lizard and the island is home to a few lizards and geckos. The island is famous for its spectacular lagoons where white sandy beaches and azure blue waters provide a breathtaking forefront to the lush tropical mountains behind.

Known for its amazing underwater life, Moorea is home to some of the best dive sites and these are easily accessible from the wide range of accommodations available on the island.
